Hi, I'm Victor Boveda Prado, a software developer and solutions assistant passionate about transforming complex problems into innovative solutions. I've had the pleasure of working on exciting projects in both Europe and Latin America, and now I call Chicago home.
My journey began at the Galician Center for Aerospace in Vigo, Spain, where I contributed to small satellite missions, including the LUME-1 project. This experience taught me a lot about service efficiency and mission operations, setting a solid foundation for my career in software development and research.
At NTT DATA Europe & Latam in Madrid, Spain, I took on the challenge of enhancing the AIRUS Suite using technologies like Django, Angular, Docker, and PostgreSQL. Leading a front-end team, I drove productivity improvements and spearheaded collaborations with partners, resulting in several successful joint research projects. It was thrilling to see our work showcased at the ATM World Congress and the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Academically, I hold a Professional Master of Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, focusing on Artificial Intelligence. Before that, I earned a Master's in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, specializing in Telematics and Machine Learning, and a Bachelor's in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo, where I focused on Signal Processing.
I'm well-versed in a variety of programming languages including Python, Java, and TypeScript, and I have extensive experience with frameworks like Django, Angular, and React. My toolkit also includes project management tools, databases, cloud services, and AI frameworks, making me a versatile asset in the tech world.
One of my favorite projects was developing an Android app for postoperative prostate rehabilitation named Pelfix. Seeing the app help patients recover was incredibly rewarding. I also enjoyed organizing the Foro Tecnoloxico de Emprego career fair, bringing together students and companies for a mutually beneficial experience.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Galician, and Portuguese, I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and tackling challenges from different angles. When I'm not coding, you might find me at a tech conference or exploring new technologies to keep my skills sharp.
So, that's me in a nutshell. If you're interested in my work or just want to chat about tech, feel free to connect on LinkedIn or check out my projects on GitHub.
